Chikmagalur
Located in Karnataka, this is a pleasing Western Ghat beauty. There is the district, and then there is the hill station of Chikmagalur. It takes a little more than 4 hours to reach Chikmagalur, and you are all set for a great holiday. The place has some amazing coffee estates, so if you are a coffee lover, this is going to be fun. You can also go for a great trekking experience at the highest peak of the state, called, Mullayangiri.
Coorg
A legendary tourist region, Coorg is absolutely gorgeous. Just 5 hours away from Bengaluru, Coorg is home to spectacular views, and amazing experiences. It is a perfect weekend getaway for nature lovers, a paradise for trekkers, birdwatchers, and hikers. This too is a region reputed for its coffee estates, so don’t hold back, explore it all. Moreover, there are quite a few lovely options to spend the night.
Ooty
Stepping away from Karnataka, drive into Tamil Nadu to visit the Nilgiri Hills. What better place in the Blue Mountains than the beautiful Ooty. Always A place that is often full of tourists, Ooty’s highlight is its lake. Boating here is a must. The hill station is full of charming bungalows that date back to the British era, and the experiences here will last in your memory for a lifetime. You will reach Ooty in a little over 6 hours by road.
