Disney world has made masks optional for vaccinated guests that too without any proof of vaccination. The announcement was made by the firm on its official website on Tuesday. But for those who still haven’t received their vaccination, still need to wear face masks inside the park, be it indoors or taking any rides.
The company’s website mentions, “We expect guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, and upon entering and throughout all attraction and transportation.” But every person, vaccinated or not, will have to wear a face mask on buses, monorails and
Disney Skyliner, the aerial gondola. Also visitors won’t be allowed to hug the famous Disney characters present in the park due to the pandemic.
The website further reads, “It’s important to remember that some experiences and entertainment may still be operating with limited capacity or may remain temporarily unavailable. We’re not quite ready to bring back everything yet, but we are optimistic and look forward to the day when Disney pals and princesses are able to hug once again.”
In March 2020, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic and Disney World was shut down for two months. The park was reopened last summer with COVID-19 safety protocols in place and several guidelines.
