Ladakh Suspends Winter Tourist Activities

The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has put the tourism sector in crisis once again as various people from different parts of the country head to Ladakh for adventure and for popular Chadar trek which held during the months of January and February are now sad because of the news.

The deputy commissioner Leh Shrikant Suse took to Twitter and issued notification for the suspension of ChadarTrek 2022, snow leopard sighting expedition and other winter activities in the district. The Omicron virus has also cancelled the famous apricot blossom festival.
