Himanchal Pradesh: Rohtang Pass to remain open for vehicular movement

The popular Rohtang Pass is accessible throughout the week. The pass is now open seven days a week after being locked in by private movements, including tourists every Tuesday.

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) keeps the Manali Rohtang highway closed every Tuesday for maintenance work on the highway that’s why no vehicles are allowed outside of Gulaba.

However, now, taking measures in line with the requirements of tourism stakeholders and reducing the number of vehicles on this route after the Atal tunnel opens to traffic, the district government has decided to keep the freeway for vehicular traffic on Tuesdays.
