For zero carbon shipping Carnival Corporation joined McKinney Møller Centre

Carnival Corporation announced that it has joined the Mærsk McKinney Møller Centre for Zero Carbon Shipping, a non-profit, independent R & D centre aimed at accelerating the transition of the global maritime industry to the future of NetZero.

Its main goal is to drive the maritime industry’s transition to a low-carbon future through collaboration across the value chain, and its long-term goal is to achieve zero-carbon transport by 2050.

The Centre will work with partners to drive the development and implementation of sustainable solutions, new technologies, and viable migration paths while advancing the policies and regulations needed to enable migration.

This shared vision is in close alignment with Carnival Corporation’s own decarbonization goals and its desire to achieve net carbon-neutral vessel operations by 2050.
