Chinese Embassy in India has restored its COVID-19 visa program

After a two-year absence, the Chinese Embassy in India has restored its COVID-19 visa program. The visa restriction on Indians has been lifted, and China has declared that it would give visas to Indian professionals and their families who have been unable to return to China because of the epidemic.

According to reports, some Indian professionals residing in China petitioned External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar last month to encourage Beijing to enable their trapped families to return.

In addition to Indians, the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi added that families of Chinese citizens traveling to China to reunite their families and visit relatives and foreigners with a permanent residence permit in China can also apply for visas.
