Mimi Parker passes away at 55

Mimi Parker of indie rock band Low, passed away on Saturday at the age of 55 after a two-year struggle with ovarian cancer. The heart breaking news was confirmed by the band’s management on Sunday morning.

Low shared the news on twitter and wrote, “Friends, it’s hard to put the universe into language and into a short message, but she passed away last night, surrounded by family and love, including yours. Keep her name close and sacred. Share this moment with someone who needs you. Love is indeed the most important thing.”

For unversed, Mimi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December 2020 and started her treatment in 202. According to Variety, Parker is survived by her husband, Sparhawk, as well as their two children, Hollis and Cyrus.
