Coronavirus: Zydus Cadila applies for approval for its COVID vaccine

The DNA technology platform used in the development of the vaccine is the first of its kind in the world and is producing impressive results according to clinical studies and researchers on the COVID19 vaccines that we have with us.

It is also touted as one of the cheapest coronavirus vaccines on the market. Currently, Covishield (Oxford Astrazeneca vaccine) is the most economical.
The company has obtained US interim results from the Pan-India Phase II and III trials. Not only do the developers describe the DNA technology used in the vaccine as safe and effective, but studies have also shown that the vaccine holds a promise of effectiveness. of 67% in reducing symptomatic infections and has a well-established safety and immunogenicity profile.

The data are based on studies with around 28,000 people, 1,000 of whom are children between the ages of 12 and 18.
