RRR completes 100 days in Japan

SS Rajamouli’s RRR has received international acclaim for Rajamouli’s direction, writing and performances of the actors. It has completed 100 days in Japan and is still making money at the box offices around the world.

SS Rajamouli took to his social media handle and shared that RRR became the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. He also shared the poster of the movie with the list of the theatres in which the movie is still running. Thanking the audience Rajamouli wrote, “Back in those days, a film running for 100 days, 175 days, etc was a big thing. The business structure changed over time…Gone are those fond memories…But the Japanese fans are making us relive the joy. Love you Japan… Arigato Gozaimasu…”

For unversed, RRR was produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment and stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, , Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. RRR became the third Indian film and first Telugu film to receive nominations at the Golden Globe Awards, including Best Foreign Language Film. It has also won Best Original Song for “Naatu Naatu”, making it the first Asian nomination to win the award.
