Hollywood actor Paul Sorvino, who was famous for his work on “Goodfellas” has died in the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, on July 25, 2022. He was 83. Paul’s publicist Roger Neal said he died of natural causes at his house in Indiana. Paul’s wife Dee Dee Sorvino took to her Facebook page and wrote, “I am completely devastated. The love of my life & the most wonderful man who has ever lived is gone. I am heartbroken.”
Paul’s daughter and an Oscar-winning actor Mira Sorvino also took to Twitter and paid tribute to her father. She wrote, “My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed. My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.”
Paul Anthony Sorvino was born in April 1939 in New York City. He was famous for his roles as Lucchese crime family caporegime Paulie Cicero and as NYPD Sergeant Phil Cerreta on the second season of the TV series Law & Order. He was also seen as Juliet’s father in Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 film Romeo + Juliet.
