Chiranjeevi’s commercial entertainer was released on January 13 coinciding with festivals like Pongal, Lohri, and Makar Sankranti and has earned Rs 29 crore on Friday. The release of Waltair Veeraya shows Chiranjeevi as a local don and Ravi Teja as the cop.
Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to his official social media handle and wrote, “MEGA MASS BLOCKBUSTER #WaltairVeerayya off to a thundering response, all night shows SOLD OUT 💥 SOLID DAY 1 numbers loading 🔥.”
The film received mixed reviews from critics. As per usual, we will witness the high-voltage clash of Tollywood films- Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.
For unversed, Waltair Veerayya stars Chiranjeevi as the titular character alongside Shruti Haasan, Ravi Teja and Catherine Tresa. The action comedy film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and the soundtrack of the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Bobby Kolli’s directional has received a good response from the audience and has also posed strong competition to Veera Simha Reddy.
